Biography:
My interest in sequencing-enabled genetics started with the development of the SHOREmap method for genetic mapping in 2009. Since then, my group has worked with several large sequencing datasets in genome annotation (Lotus japonicus, white clover, blueberry, Tarantula, Velvet spider), the LORE1 insertion mutant resource (http://lotus.au.dk), small RNA profiling, L. japonicus and white clover re-sequencing, rhizobium genome assembly, QTL and genome-wide association projects. The biological focus is on plant-microbe interactions, both symbiotic and pathogenic, and I am currently running a large project aimed at improving white clover nitrogen fixation based on genomic prediction of interspecies interactions (NCHAIN).
